The Stench of Bah Randa

Something foul has washed ashore in Aetera… A brand-new Remnant has arrived! Bah Randa, The Stenchful can now be found at level 110!

• To reach Bah Randa’s Islet, complete the quest “A Shell of a Problem” and bring the map you receive to Captain Quina at Stonehollow Port. She’ll sail you straight to his lair!
• Defeat Bah Randa to complete your Remnant list and get a chance at some obtaining his pet and the rare Stinky Aura, complete with its own buzzing fly sound effect!

Cosmetic Fishing Tools!

• Several fishing tools can now be equipped as cosmetics. The Fishing Rod, Excellent Fishing Rod, Heat Resistant Fishing Rod, and Ghostly Fishing Rod will now be visible while fishing!

• The Harpoon, Drakonic Harpoon, and Stalking Net can also be used as cosmetic weapons, letting you bring your fishing prowess into combat.
• This change also opens the door for Eterspire Store cosmetic fishing tools, starting with a long-requested favorite: the Golden Fishing Rod is now visible when you fish!

And There's More!

• The Aquarium now has new dialogue options that let you take a closer look at your catches after adding them to their fish tank.
• A new message will now pop-up when you run out of inventory space while fishing, so you don’t lose precious grinding time if you’re not actively watching your screen.
• Character movement has been improved to feel more fluid and not stop abruptly when bumping into mobs or terrain.

Bugfixes

• Fixed a bug where using the wardrobe’s Deposit All button would also deposit your equipped cosmetics.
• Fixed some hairstyles in the character customization menu that were not rendering correctly.
• Fixed several serious iOS crash issues.

Eterspire Store

Go slow, slimy, and stylish with the brand-new Snail Set, now available for direct purchase in the Eterspire Store! This wonderfully squishy cosmetic set includes the Snail Shell, Snail Antennae, and the fancy Snail Fishing Rod.

Behind the Scenes

• We’re currently working on major improvements to controller gameplay, especially for the user interface. This will help us move toward full Steam Deck verification, and allow us to explore releases on controller-focused platforms in the future, starting with Apple TV later this year!
• You can check out the features and content planned for the next quarter at eterspire.com/roadmap.
• 82 accounts have been banned for using modded or unofficial clients, which is against the Eterspire Rules.

• The Eterspire OST playlist has been updated with the fishin' tracks! You can listen to it here!
• Did you know? The Snail Cosmetic Set was originally suggested by Remi (Snailprincess). She gets two snail-related patch notes features in a row, because she is that awesome.

• Our latest (guild-focused!) Community Contest, Greatest Guild Feats has ended, and rewards have been given out! Adventurers told us what their newly formed guilds were best (or worst) at with a group photo! All who showed us this fresh side of their groups received the exclusive in-game epithet, "My guild made me do it", plus the legacy Party Hat! Five finalists were chosen by the dev team, and the winners were then decided by community vote on our Discord server! You can take a peek at the top five right here.

Update Schedule Changes!

The next Eterspire update will arrive on July 28, but we’ll soon be transitioning to a new update schedule that keeps our usual pace while standardizing the day of the week each update releases.

Starting in September, Eterspire updates will release on the first and third Tuesday of every month. If a scheduled Tuesday falls on a national holiday, the update will instead release on the following day.

To help us transition into this new schedule, the update originally planned for August 28 will now be released on Tuesday, September 1!
