A Journey to the Past!

• New Quest: "Walk Like an Alcalagan". Travel back in time to the era of the ancient war, long before the creation of the crystals! Meet legendary ancestors and solve ancient puzzles as you uncover a lost chapter of Aetera's history. Talk to the Desert Crystal at level 40 to begin this new blockbuster quest!

Apple TV Release!

• Eterspire launches on Apple TV on August 3, bringing your adventure to a brand-new big-screen platform! Save the date!
• The Apple TV version will launch with crossplay and cross-progression across all previously available platforms, allowing you to continue your journey seamlessly across phone, PC, and TV.

Controller Support Improvements

• Controller gameplay has been greatly improved across the board, making Eterspire play much better with a gamepad, especially when navigating menus and UI.
• New shortcuts have been added for several actions, including buttons for switching inventory tabs more easily.
• Holding the D-pad up or down now allows players to fast scroll, making it much easier to navigate their inventories.
• A new keybinding lets you open a menu showing every player currently in the map. From there, you can select a player to open their social menu, add them as a friend, invite them to a party, and more.

• These controller gameplay improvements not only make the upcoming Apple TV version feel awesome to play, but also bring us 95% of the way to achieving Steam Deck Verified status. Stay tuned!
• We will continue working on further improving the controller experience in Eterspire. We know some details are still a bit rough around the edges, but it plays a lot better now, and we'll keep iterating on it!

New Event: Quickfoot the G.O.A.T. (Goblin of All Time)

• As many of you may know, our entire dev team is from Argentina, and we wanted to celebrate our national team's hard-fought journey throughout this year's World Cup with a surprise in-game event. Even though we came out second and missed out on the cup, we're still grateful for the emotions, festivities, and happiness they gave us. Visit the Stonehollow Fairgrounds at level 10 or higher to join the celebration!

And There's More!

• The main theme OST on the login screen has been reorchestrated and sounds better than ever!
• We've normalized the volume across the game's soundtrack, so music should now feel more consistent from area to area.
• A new option in the settings menu lets players choose whether the chat window stays open after sending a message.
• A new message now pops up when your fishing spot runs out of fish, making it easier to know when to switch spots during idle fishing.
• A new option lets you hide your username on the login screen, helping keep your information private while streaming.

Eterspire Store

4 lootbox sets have received new thematic chest models: Forest Whispers, Lord of War, oar of the Wild, and The Velvet Wardrobe. These were the only sets without unique chests, so now every lootbox in the store has its own.

Behind the Scenes

• We have made major changes to our roadmap for the current quarter as part of a very important shift in development priorities. Right now, we're focusing on one of the most meaningful goals for Eterspire's future: making the game feel fundamentally better to play. That means improving the moment-to-moment gameplay: moving, fighting, exploring, and interacting with the world. This shift is about much more than small adjustments. It's about strengthening the foundation of the game so we can improve player retention and support Eterspire's long-term health.

• 45 accounts have been banned for using modded or unofficial clients, which is against the Eterspire Rules.

Community

• Our latest Community Contest where participants created their own Goblin (complete with name and backstory!) has ended, and the rewards have been given out. Our chosen finalists stood out for their creativity and wit while working within the limits of the game, since the winner will eventually feature in Eterspire! You can see them below, and read their backstories here! Other Goblins created by adventurers might also feature in the future. If that happens, we'll let you know right here! Where else?

• A new community event will start later this week! Stay up to date with them by joining our official Discord server, where we run all of these.
• Did you hear that? That was the sound of the group Bastion wave record being smashed to pieces, by dedicated players Ampiel, Stormzone, Yacine, and Shlap (under the pseudonyms of Sherlockhomeless, Shlep, Soeasy, and Yacguard, which are amazing in their own right.) Originally broken by getting to wave 240, they didn't let their win get to their heads and are now on wave 255, which is double of that achieved by the group in second place. Congratulations! Update Schedule Changes!

The next Eterspire update will arrive on August 18, but we'll soon be transitioning to a new update schedule that keeps our usual pace while standardizing the day of the week each update releases.

Starting in September, Eterspire updates will release on the first and third Tuesday of every month. If a scheduled Tuesday falls on a national holiday, the update will instead release on the following day.

To help us transition into this new schedule, the update originally planned for August 28 will now be released on Tuesday, September 1!
